Hey Shelia!
Sorry this is late! The gum is called "Stevia Dent" and I got it from Amazon. It is good to me, but then again, I had not chewed gum in 2 years since I gave up artificial sweeteners, so I may be a bit un-objective!! I mean, you can't blow any bubbalicious bubbles or anything, but for me, it will do!!!
(I added it to an order to bump me to free shipping :) !!!!)

I LOVE this idea!!

I chew Trident gum because it is sweetened with xylitol. but I just noticed it also has aspartame! That's what I get for just looking at the package and not the actual ingredients. GRRR Shoot. I'm addicted to this gum. I guess the aspartame explains the addiction. :-(

I think I want to try the all natural gum. I'm on the look out!

Missy,

Thank you for your input! What was the brand name of the stevia gum?

I will be sure to include your suggestions in the future investigative posts. All great ideas. I think the protein bar idea in particular is important, as there are a lot of them out there that are not necessarily the best choice, but we see "protein" on the front of the label and assume it is healthy.

Keep the ideas coming!

Oh and also it would be neat to see some protein bars (supposedly healthy) and other fiber bars or any of the cereal bars. Also, fruit snacks and even SlimFast would be neat to see.

Sorry, just started thinking....

This is MY kind of post! I love examining this stuff! I have gotten to where I don't even use salad dressing if I go out to eat (I use vinegar) but I will make it at home or buy Annies or use Braggs liquid aminos!
Also, I tried the Stevita gum and thought it was good and decently lasted a while!!
I would like to see some "healthy " frozen meals (although that could take a whole post!) and also frozen yogurts and cereals examined. Maybe even store bought salsas and spreads, anything that you could easily make with real stuff as a comparison ( like you did with the dressing)
Thanks for this most interesting investigative post!!! Makes you leery of eating anything packaged! I try to use the Leigh one ingredient rule!
