Ryan noticed this Trader Joe’s 8 Grain Crisps Baked Snack one day in the chip aisle, on our weekly grocery shopping trip and we decided to give them a try. These snack crisps are like rice cakes, only better. They have a more filling, whole grain flavor. I am not typically a huge fan of rice cake snacks, because they leave me feeling hungry, unsatisfied, and like I just ate a handful of styrofoam, but I was pleasantly surprised with these cracker/chip substitutes. They are heavier than your standard chip and pack quite a crunch. The barley adds a sweet, nutty flavor, with a hint of pumpernickel from the rye. I really like them, and think they would be great with a red pepper or jalapeno pepper hummus.
Not only are these crisps tasty but they are really healthy too. The black sesame seeds are a good source of calcium, the buckwheat, whole ground corn, and oat groats add fiber, and the flax seeds are loaded with omega-3s.
At 120 calories per serving and all natural ingredients, these snack crips are definitely a better choice than your standard greasy potato chip. Nosh on!

These sound great. I have a chips weakness so I’ll have to try these next time I hit up TJ’s.
