In November of 2005, Pete Thomas walked away from the finale of NBC’s The Biggest Loser a winner – and a loser. He won $100,000 for losing 185 pounds in nine short months, which was more weight than any other contestant that season.
I decided to approach Pete for an interview, for Live Well 360°, because here we are more than 3 years later, and he is one of the few contestants on the show that has been able to maintain his weight loss completely. Pete began his journey at 400+ pounds, with a body fat percentage of 51%. These days, his body fat hovers near the single digits.
It takes more than a tv show to keep this amount of weight loss. It takes mindset, dedication, and complete life changes.
