Celebrity trainer, Valerie Waters, shares one of her favorite recipes with Live Well 360°.
Teriyaki Tuna
Ingredients
- 2 ahi tuna steaks
- 1 cup black sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- prepared wasabi
Directions
Tuna Steaks
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Meanwhile, cut tuna steaks generously with black sesame seeds. Add steaks to skillet and sear both sides until the sesame seeds are toasted, about two minutes per side. The tuna should have a nice crust but still be rare in the middle. Slice the tuna steaks into strips.
Sauce
Mix 1/4 cup of low sodium soy sauce and pineapple juice together. Serve with small serving of prepared wasabi.
Daikon Radish Salad
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Daikon Radish, shredded
- 1/2 cup snow peas, blanched, thinly sliced
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
Directions
Mix all vegetables together and chill.
