Great Finds

I have come across some really great products on my own personal journey to my best life. I personally love when friends or family recommend little gems that they have discovered in our world of information overload. Its hard to know what products are great and what products are meh, not really that fabulous. So I wanted put together a list for you with some of my own findings. My own little testimonial page.

I have tried and regularly use each and every one of these items, so I can assure you, if you decide to try one out for yourself, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Enjoy!

NUTRITION

Naturally More

This peanut butter is all natural, contains no trans fat, no cholesterol, and tastes fantastic! I have purchased it online from this site but to be honest its cheaper if you can find it at your local Walmart.

This high protein powdered peanut butter has 85% less fat and still maintains the full flavor of regular peanut butter. Essentially, the oil is squeezed out of roasted peanuts. I use this PB all the time. Simply add a little water until desired thickness is reached, and voila, instant low cal alternative to quench those peanut butter cravings.

Fage is the best thing since sliced bread. I use the 0% fat version and add my own fruit, nuts, etc or even use it instead of sour cream for dips or on tacos! This yogurt is packed with protein and you would not believe how thick and creamy it is. I purchase it at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s.

Ronzoni Healthy Harvest pasta is a great alternative to “white/bleached flour” pasta. It is whole grain, high in fiber, and is a great source of omega-3. This is the only pasta I use anymore. I purchase it at Meijer and have seen it at other large chain grocery stores as well.

I take these Women’s Living Green Liquid-Gel Multi Vitamins. They are plant based and contains Folic Acid, Omega 3 Oils and Cranberry, specifically targeted for women. Since I began taking them, I have really noticed a difference in my skin and as weird as this sounds, I get less headaches. You can use the code KEK380 to get $5.00 off your first purchase. They also have a men’s version. My hubby takes those and loves them as well.

I have talked about coconut oil in a few different articles, and many readers have asked which kind I recommend. This is the type that I use and I love it.

My name is Sheila, and I am a sweets-aholic. I love sweets. So Wisdom Natural, SweetLeaf, Stevia Plus is my God send. I use it in everything - plain yogurt, coffee, my pancake recipe, you name it! I love it. I can’t even tell the difference anymore between Stevia and regular sugar.  And it is 10 times sweeter than sugar (so a little goes a long way) with a zero glycemic index and no calories. I just can’t say enough good things about it. Again, you can use the coupon code KEK380 to get $5.00 off your first purchase if you buy it through Iherb.

I also sometimes use this vanilla flavored, liquid version of stevia for my coffee and protein shakes.

FAT LOSS

The Fat Loss Troubleshoot is THE book to purchase if you are looking for a no b.s. approach to fat loss. It explains everything that you need to know, in a step by step process, about how to achieve the body of your dreams and to keep that body once you achieve it. Click here for my full review.

I also recommend Leigh Peele’s other book, The Metabolic Repair Manual, if you are and have been struggling with weight loss road blocks for some time. The information in this book is truly what got me to where I am today. Leigh has taught me so much about fitness and nutrition. Trust me when I say that if you work you butt of to lose weight, and can’t budge that scale, you owe it to yourself to check this book out. Click here for my full review.

OTHER GREAT RESOURCES

Calorie King is a HUGE database of nutritional information for every food imaginable. Their motto is “food awareness”. I think they have that covered!

FITDAY is another nutritional info tracking site. It is a little more limited than Calorie King, but I use FITDAY for my day to day calorie tracking because I have entered in “custom foods”, i.e. foods that I eat often that are not in the database. So now that I have that entered, its quick and easy for me to plan my meals and total calories for the day.
